In 2023, motivated by the lack of independent information on freight decarbonisation advice for fleets and precincts combined with the growing transport emissions pipeline and mandatory reporting standards, QTLC established an Australian first: leveraging the scale of precincts and hubs as a platform for sharing and collating real life stories and data on freight efficiency and decarbonisation – the Future Freight Energy Hub.
The Future Freight Energy Hub platform successfully operates as a launch pad to:
- Get information on freight energy efficiency and decarbonisation issues, regulation, infrastructure solutions and options.
- Participate in events that look at precinct-driven approaches to freight efficiency and decarbonisation, providing valuable peer-to-peer learning and networking.
- Share resources and learnings for fleets, industry and government.
- Demonstrate leadership in new technology and sustainability.
