QTLC Priorities for 2009-2011
- Infrastructure planning and investment;
- Lead Queensland industry engagement in the national reform agenda.
- Advise Infrastructure Australia on Queensland Industry priorities.
- Support the redevelopment of the Brisbane Long Term Infrastructure Plan.
- Identify and promote major intermodal terminals and the protection of transport corridors to Ports, Airports and IMTs.
- Freight network performance and management;
- Providing oversight to the Queensland Freight Strategy.
- Complete the Multimodal Australia Responsiveness Project (MARP).
- Leading the discussion with industry on DATA capture options including IAP.
- Undertaking Real Time Traffic Information Study to mitigate road congestion
- Efficient regulation;
- Working with Local government on PBS/HML/HPV and after hours freight delivery.
- Lead Queensland’s involvement in the SEQ/NSW cross border regulation study.
- Transport security;
- Monitor development of security regulations to ensure appropriate balance between costs of implementation and the risk of security breaches.
- Energy efficiency;
- Promote the use of LNG and Bio-diesel
- Workforce capability and
